Why and How We Help
Welcome to Tracking George, a site developed for our 14-year-old daughter newly diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. When diagnosed, calculating insulin doses was a difficult task.
She was scared of all the calculations and how it may interrupt her daily life. So we helped her to understand, manage and track her diabetes. This prompted us to write Tracking George, allowing her to quickly calculate and log her blood sugar levels, insulin doses, injection locations, carbohydrate corrections, and long-lasting nighttime injections.

What is Tracking George? It is a system for you to make entries and calculate your insulin dose and keep a record of each entry. Insulin dose is based on the following factors
- Current BGL blood glucose level,
- Any carbohydrates you are eating at the time of injection.
- If you are taking a nighttime long-lasting basal injection.
Records are kept so you can review these records with your doctor to make any necessary adjustments to your ratios or insulin types.
